Jacoby is originally from Poplar, a small town in northeast Montana. After high school he attended the University of Jamestown where he studied music education. Jacoby then taught for two years in Miles City before taking the choir job at Senior High. Some of his favorite hobbies include fishing with flies he has tied, camping, and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
